press page is a little less empty looking now. the new line hasn’t been out for long so half of the press is from my old launch. oh well.
I love this post that heather from gathering spriggs made. it’s a combo of bumblesea (pictured below: the margot and hatched necklaces) and a clothing line caled saltwater. our styles match up quite well. the model in these photos is so adorable.
to do list: editorial style photos with the jewelry, new acrylic line, redo the site so the content is dynamic (ugh). better than being bored, I suppose.
I have so many papers/drawings/cutouts that I’ve collected over the years that I’m planning on covering the largest wall in my apartment with them to make one massive inspiration board. my apartment is very unusual and has cathedral ceilings, so the wall is about 12-15 feet high at its tallest point. I think I might actually run out of papers before I finish covering the wall, but I’ll take some before and after pictures anyway.
woke up to find my polyvore set… on their official blog? didn’t believe it was really their blog for a second. so I went to polyvore.com, clicked on “blog”. and yeah, there it is.
update: bumblesea’s on modish?????????? best day ever. thank you jena!
too much bragging, not enough eye candy!
interview’s out in print and online as well. I don’t look like a quadruped but I am biting my lip in the photo. daryl must’ve heard moths and lichens as my inspiration instead of moss and lichens? haha… thank you daryl and james! and of course the ever lovely jean.
a few weeks ago I crawled out from underneath my rock and learned what polyvore was. I bookmarked it thinking it would be a good way to get some free online exposure.
last night I did a vanity google search for bumblesea and realized that there are already several people promoting my old line on there. finding blog posts about my work is always flattering but seeing all these polyvore collections with my moustache necklace and reading all the comments about it takes the cake. they seems to lack many handmade items, I can’t believe my jewelry actually made it on their website.
if there was any doubt in my mind to bring back a few acrylic designs, it’s been erased completely. I was hoping I could give the new version of bumblesea a more cohesive structure by selling only silver necklaces. damn you, polyvore.
so for those of you who are still mopey about not getting one before I stopped selling them, chin up. they’ll be back in a few weeks.
